Dentistry
The doctors and staff at Red Hill Animal Health Center know the importance of daily dental care for your pet, and we will enthusiastically “talk teeth” to keep you informed. If your pet's breath could “stop a truck,” it could also stop their heart, kidneys, liver, or contribute to arthritic problems. Bad breath is caused by bacteria. These bacteria are absorbed by the mouth and can spread to vital organs creating disease.

Dental homecare for your pet can be tailor-made to fit your schedule and your pet’s disposition. As with people, brushing is the gold standard. If your pet is not willing to participate, there are other alternatives, such as dental chews and special diets. We will “talk teeth” to create a plan that will work for you!

Red Hill Animal Health Center received the honor of being awarded the first Dental Specialty Practice Certification by the American Animal Hospital Association in the United States. To achieve this certification, the hospital met approximately 400 standards, including specialized equipment for endodontics, orthodontics, dental radiology, and many more. It also means that we have a Board Certified Veterinary Dentist, Jean Hawkins, DVM as one of our staff veterinarians. A healthy mouth is paramount to overall well being.
